Project Natal Now Called Kinect

Posted June 14th, 2010 in News, Xbox 360, Xbox Live by Drew Koehler

Microsoft via Major Nelson announced recently that Natal is now Kinect.  Apparently keeping with the “kewl” krowd the aptly named Kinect focus on konnecting with others while using kinetics.  Now only if they allow us to play Mortal Kombat with it we can have all the krazy “k’s” in our Xbox.  M$ also announced the launch lineup for Kinect including a driving game, a pet simulator and light saber game.  What do you think about Kinect?  Is this something you will pick up on day one or will you wait awhile?

  2. I think it is very cool and would really like to try it, however if the price is high I will have to wait as I am not a Navy MP or a prison guard. ;)

  3. Personally, I think it looked okay. I think the motion sensors for all the systems are kind of wack. But I guess motion sensor brings in the newer generation of gamers. For me, controller or keyboard and mouse is fine w/ me. I think if Kinect was released w/ more games that cater to hardcore gamers like a shooter or even a fighting game then I would have been amped up more. As for the PS Move, It looks cool I guess but can we get a different controller. They look like wiimotes w/ color balls on top.
