Broken Steel Might Be, Um, Broken

So, the latest DLC for Fallout 3, Broken Steel, is floating out into the ether now. Xbox 360 owners are having a lovely time as I type this, no doubt. On the flip side, PC gamers eager to get their Broken Steel DLC on might have noticed this error:
“Not a cryptographic message or the cryptographic message is not formatted correctly. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8009200D)”
Seems this error is a game breaker: the game just stops, unable to load further. And if the kerfuffle on the Net is to believed, this will happen to a lot of you PC Fallout 3 peeps.
Remember who gave you the head’s up when your PC tries to kill you.

This is really disappointing. All of the DLC for Fallout 3 has had significant and common breaks. Bethesda needs to get on top of that, figure out how to fix them, and patch it. I had a game ruining bug with the first DLC and haven’t touched the game since. I was going to go back to it with Broken Steel, but now I’m not going to even bother. Come on Bethesda, you’re better than this.
I had a game-ruining bug in Fallout 3 itself, and I’ve read about others experiencing similar issues with the core game. I remember Oblivion having similar problems too. This is beginning to look like par-for-the-course difficulties for Bethesda.
