Disney Interactive Studios and Propaganda Games, developers of the recent Turok reboot, have today announced Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned. Set before the events of the movies, the game will be an open world action RPG where your actions and decisions will affect your moral standing in the world.

Players will start out as a young up and coming pirate. The choices you make will affect your appearance as well as your ships. You’ll interact with residents of the islands, the various nations vying for power in the Caribbean, and other pirates. It was hinted that players may encounter characters from the movies, but nothing was confirmed. However, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that the illustrious Jack Sparrow will make an appearance at some point.

The game is due Fall 2010.

  1. Hopefully this is more interesting and ambitious than the crappy Pirates MMO.

  2. No way I watched all three films 2 days ago! I might actually get this.
