I was most likely one of the few fans of the video game Stranglehold.  Growing up I was a huge John Woo fan I mean one of the first action movies I saw growing up was Hard Boiled.  So of course I was happy to see that it was getting a sequel and that it would be a video game.  That is like a sandwich of awesome with a side of rad fries.  

Now to my point of this rant.  It seems that Hollywood has decided to make a movie based off of the game Stranglehold.  Even better is that John Woo is not going to direct it.  The only saving grace of this movie woud be if Chow Yun Fat is in it.  If not, this movie will be up there with Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li and all of that other video game movie crap that Hollywood has been churning out here lately.  

Hollywood has obviously ran out of ideas to the point they are making a movie based off of a video game that was based off of a movie.  Yeah I know once you read it-it really does sound that stupid.  Hey Hollywood if you are running out of ideas hire me I have an idea for a movie based off of the Prodigal Son that would rock your socks off!
