We are Christians, we are also gamers. We have a passion for Christ and also one for video games and their culture. So like many Christians when faced with those important options, how do we choose to move forward in our walk of faith? For us the best way we know how, which is putting God first and bringing him with us on our adventures into gaming. Hopefully the light and example we show will be the greatest testament.
Our MIssion is to bring the word and sovereignty of the Lord with us into our daily lives, and this includes the digital worlds we encounter. The chore of distancing ourselves from a culture that chooses the fantasy from the reality of our beliefs. It is also for this that we should use these opportunities to serve one another, for the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”(Galatians 5:13-15), .
Our hope is that with a proper heart, and loving beliefs we can combat the negativity and stereotype of being a gamer, much less a confessed Christian who is a gamer. For there is little to no video game that I know of that will glorify the Lord, as there are some that do the opposite. So we must hold true to our beliefs (1 Corinthians 10:31) and do it all for the glory of God. In our actions, attitudes, behaviors towards other who engage our online time with we must show the light inside us.
Guiding Scripture (2 Timothy 2:24-25)
A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.
