Sony and Zipper Interactive’s PS3-exclusive Massive Action Game, or MAG as it’s more commonly known, may or may not be delayed until next year. Originally scheduled for release this October, the MAG release date listed on GameStop and Gamefly’s websites now says January 2010.
Best Buy, however, still shows an October release, while Amazon has no release date listed. The folks over at Gamespot contacted Sony about a possible delay, but Sony did not respond. Most interesting of all is the fact that although GameStop and Gamefly now say MAG is releasing in January 2010, neither site says the same day. GameStop lists the release date as January 12, while Gamefly lists it as January 31.
If Sony officially confirms a delay, we’ll update with the information. In the meantime, get your first-person shooter fun on with Killzone 2. I need somebody to play online with in that game, dang it!
I never thought that I would be so excited about games being delayed this year. I’m getting a PS3 soon, so I could use the extra time to reacquainted with the controller.
