Seems so easy to make excuses for why we don't set aside specific time for what should be the most important thing in a Christians life. I know I've used them before. It seems like if you don't make it in the morning, inevitably, something will distract you later in the day. Thanks for the reminder and enforcing the importance of doing this in our lives. He called it "The First 15 Challenge." It really helped me and several of my friends see change in our lives as we entered each day from a God centered perspective instead of a "me" cantered view. I'm really enjoying it this time around because I can concentrate on a chapter a day...right in front of a cozy fire after I get home from work. :-) I also help with our youth group every Wednesday evening @ church...helping them to better understand God's Word. It's so easy to be a "safe" Christian and only speak and live out our faith in the church. We need to be more fearless in our faith and share with others even if it makes us uncomfortable.
